Sara Bateman is an artist, community arts administrator, and arts activist. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, she received her B.A. in Liberal Arts/Photography from The Evergreen State College in 2002 and is completing a Master’s degree in Arts Management, with a concentration in Community Arts, at the University of Oregon.
Prior to graduate school, she worked in the photographic arts, serving as the Director of The Ansel Adams Gallery Photography Workshops, mentoring underserved youth in photography through SF Camerawork’s First Exposures program, and embarking on independent curatorial projects that focused on issues of environmental and societal concern.
When not immersed in the arts, you can find Sara getting lost in the desert or roaming through the Cascades.
